Creative visualization is enhanced thinking. It's thinking, imagining and spiritually experiencing results as you choose.

Since everything begins as a thought formation, that's where you need to launch your dream. Goal attainment of any sort -- better health, improved relationships, and greater prosperity and pleasure in life all starts in the mind. Yes, success truly is an inside job.

Here are 5 simple tips to help you get the best possible results when you visualize:

1. Decide on your target. What is it that you'd like to be, to have, or to do? Choose one target and commit to its attainment.

Write your goal down and refine your description so you are absolutely clear about what it is you're shooting for. One more qualifier is that you should make this goal something that inspires you.

It's got to be something that you're willing to go for - no matter what. It needs to be a goal worth failing for. That's the kind of commitment you need to stick with it, since most worthwhile accomplishments don't happen overnight and may even take months or years.

2. Crystallize the image of your desire. Now that you know what you want, you can zero in on a single target and cast other thoughts aside for now. You need a clear image in your mind of exactly where you are going.

When visualizing, you want to picture yourself at the finish line, fully "experiencing" the benefits of your goal reached. In other words, assume the target as though it were yours already.

Let your imagination soar and involve as many of your senses as you can. Really get into it by playing the part, much like an actor would, then notice how you feel. That's what creative visualization is about. And it's this imaginary experience that you want to relive again and again until it feels natural. This is important because, when it truly feels like the next step in your life's journey, you know you're getting very close to reaching your goal.

3. Take deep breaths. Before you start to visualize, relax your mind and body. Sit up straight in a chair that provides comfortable support and begin by taking several deep breaths. Slow down your breathing and feel the tension leave your body.

Focus only on the long, slow, deep breaths your taking and let all other thoughts drift away. This gets easier with some practice. But by staying focused on your breathing, you're purposely channelling your thoughts away from the multitude of issues and concerns of the day.

You've got to relax to fully connect with the mental image and to experience the magical feeling of having already accomplished your most pressing desire.

4. Expand your mental image. Each time you visualize, add an extra detail to the picture. First, relax. Then imagine your goal in hand, just as you did before.

Fully connect to the experience in your mind. Make it so real that you can almost taste it. Now... add a little more detail, something you didn't notice before. Maybe it's someone close to you congratulating you on your accomplishment, or perhaps it's being able to help other people in a way you never thought possible before.

Each enhancement makes your creative visualization that much more real in your experience. More importantly, the subconscious mind takes note of the new reality as a command and that's where the real magic begins.

5. Repeat the process every day. Every time you entertain the mental image you've constructed and visualize yourself already in possession of whatever it is you seek, you set energy in motion. Repeat it and the energy builds until it eventually becomes an unstoppable force and you can't help but manifest your desires.

The most important thing, at least as far as I'm concerned, is to know what it is that you really want.

I find most people don't really know specifically what it is that they want ...so the law of attraction cannot work for them.
